Drop-off/Parking: 1405 Hopkins Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94303 (This leads directly to the redwood grove entrance)

Let’s kick off our summer with a bit of magic. We’re meeting up in Rinconada’s "Magic Forest"—a stunning, moody grove of over 50 giant redwoods—for a relaxed evening of connection. We’ll gather for snacks and a brief word from our sponsor before taking a gentle sunset stroll through the park’s wide, paved paths.
The Flow of the Evening
7:00 PM | Forest Gathering: Meet us in the Magic Forest (Redwood Dell)! We’ll enjoy snacks while making new connections and hear from Q-Bit Wellness while the birds settle for the night.
8:00 PM | Dusk Stroll: As the sun dips, we’ll move together along the wide, paved paths of the park. We’ll provide glow sticks to light our way, turning our stroll into a luminous ribbon of light.
9:00 PM | Wrap-Up: We’ll loop back to the entrance for easy departures.
Logistics (Zero Barriers)
- Path: Our ~0.7 mile stroll follows a 15-foot-wide concrete pathway. It is exceptionally smooth, flat, and designed for effortless mobility.
- Parking: Best spots are the ADA-designated street spaces on Hopkins Avenue. These put you right at the entrance to the Magic Forest.
- Restrooms: Accessible facilities are located near the tennis courts and pool, a short paved distance from the grove.
- Dogs: Leashed companions are welcome to share in the magic.
📝 Note: This is a peer-led social group. We keep it casual, low-pressure, and high-connection. If you can’t do the full loop, no worries! You can hang back in the grove and we’ll Meetup with you afterwards.
What to Bring
- Nourishment: We suggest bringing easy-to-handle forest themed snacks like oatmeal cookies, trail mix, pretzels, granola bars, dried fruit, or berries.
- Hydration: Don’t forget a bottle of water.
- Illumination: Since we'll be strolling at dusk, feel free to bring glow-sticks, a small clip-on light, or a colorful lantern for your walker or scooter to add to the "magical" atmosphere.
- Warmth: The redwood canopy holds the evening chill; a light jacket or wrap is recommended.
- Seating: There are benches in the grove, but feel free to bring a lightweight folding chair if you prefer.
