BROOKLYN Smutty Book Club - Dark Lover by JR Ward

Renfaire Dress and Bodice Swap - please bring any extra dresses or bodices to the next book club. We are loaning out costume pieces to wear at the renaissance festival September 13th.

The book for August is a vampire classic - Dark Lover by J.R. Ward (book 1 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series). Book 1 was originally published in 2005, so they sort of have cell phones, but don't have smartphones... and the names are a little silly. Read it as a period piece if that helps. When you love this book:

1. The Black Dagger Brotherhood TV Series premiered in June on Passionflix. I just watched the trailer and the bad guys are so much creepier on film... but the good guys are so much sillier on film - ha.
2. There are 23 books in the series and counting - book 23 comes out on September 9th. Yay!
