I'm only hosting for the Saturday show, but if you want to get a pass for both days and go on your own on Friday, it's cheaper to buy a two day pass. Buy tickets ahead of time at the link below, to save a bit of $. You can also buy a ticket at the gate that day.
Reggaefest at The Rise, on St. Patrick's Island. Gates open at 2:00. We will meet around 2:30 to find a spot. First performer goes on at 3:00. You are welcome to come and go as you wish, but if you will NOT be meeting us at 2:30, please message me to let me know.

Join us August 29 and 30 for Calgary's premier celebration of reggae music and Caribbean culture at our new home at The Rise on St. Patrick's Island. More than a music festival, Calgary ReggaeFest is a pulsating rhythm of unity, culture and celebration.

NOTE: The Gen X Meetup event is for the Saturday only. You can buy a ticket for Saturday only or a 2 day pass, if you want to attend Friday on your own, at the link above.
Saturday, August 30:
Gates 2:00 pm, Show 3:00 pm - 9:30 pm
- Chris Murray (ON) - Acoustic Ska Innovator. Unlike most ska artists who perform with full bands, Chris is different, he makes it into an acoustic performance. Bringing a natural and comfortable feel to the music he makes.
- Mocking Shadows Rocksteady Soul Revue (AB) - Formed in Calgary in 1997 and known for their mix of R&B, Soul, Funk, Reggae and Ska Jazz.
- Canadian Ska Orchestra (AB) - founded in 2018, this 17 piece band plays genres from multi-level Ska, Rocksteady, Jazz, Punk and even some pop!
- Ambelique (Jamaica/USA) - Jamaican reggae singer, primarily working in the lovers rock genre.
- Tasha T (ON) - Two time Juno nominee performing a blend of traditional Reggae rhythms and Modern Influences of Reggae.
- Luciano (Jamaica) - Jah Messenjah King of Conscious Reggae Music
- Hardcore Reggae Band (ON) - ReggaeFest’s House Backing Band.

Other considerations:
- As the event date approaches and you find out later you can no longer attend, if you are either on the Attending List or the Wait List, please revisit this Meetup page and change your RSVP to Not Attending.
- "No Shows" (those that sign up but then don't show up) will be noted. Please respect other members who are on the Wait List that want to attend.
- If you are running late or otherwise need to contact the event organizer, please post a message in the Comments below.
- If you are feeling ill, please do not attempt to participate. Stay home and get better.
- Be respectful to others and observe personal boundaries. This includes the venue staff.
- If there are any concerns with another member's behaviour, let the event organizer know so this can be dealt with immediately.
