Inglewood Bird Sanctuary Stroll

Join us for a peaceful walking tour through the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. We'll explore and learn about the park's rich history, as well as take in the stunning autumn landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and various birds / wildlife.

The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and Nature Centre have been providing migratory birds with a place to rest their wings since 1929. To date, 270 species of birds, 21 species of mammals and 347 species of plants have been recorded at the Sanctuary and Nature Centre. The Sanctuary is an ecological safe haven, surrounded by a bustling city, that connects people to their wild neighbours and the wonders of nature. Watch for some of the incredible wildlife while exploring this protected natural environment. For those inclined towards photography or painting, the scenic beauty and wildlife provide endless inspiration.

SOME CONSIDERATIONS:
- This event is weather-pending and will be cancelled if it's raining or snowing.
- Let's start out inside the Nature Centre at 3:30 p.m. to view their informative displays, then we'll hit the sanctuary trails as a group when the Centre closes at 4:00 p.m.
- If you have binoculars and/or a camera with telephoto lens, be sure to bring them!
- Once we've completed our leisurely stroll, those wishing to continue mingling over some bites & brews may head into the community of Inglewood at which time we'll figure out where we want to go.
- As the event date approaches and you find out later you can no longer attend, please revisit this Meetup page and change your RSVP to Not Attending.
- "No Shows" (those that sign up but then don't show up) will be noted.
- If you are running late or otherwise need to contact the event organizer, please post a message in the Comments below.
- If you are feeling ill, please do not attempt to participate. Stay home and get better.
- Be respectful to others and observe personal boundaries. This includes the venue staff.
- If there are any concerns with another member's behaviour, let the event organizer know so this can be dealt with immediately.
