Deer Creek to Rocky Pool—Lassen National Forest

May 20 Meet at Chico Park & Ride at 8:30 am. Bring lunch/snacks, water, insect/sun protection and sturdy hiking shoes. Drive 40 miles on Hwy 32 to just before the drop down to Deer Creek. Turn left on a dirt Forest Service Road for 6 miles to Deer Creek. This trail follows Deer Creek downstream for about 2.5 miles to Rocky Pool, crossing four small side creeks and passing thorough several different habitats, which provide us with a variety of species.
