What we’re about
This group is for people who love to chat, about the big things in life. We meet for facilitated discussions, socials, and occasional meals and walks.
Our facilitated discussions are on Sunday mornings in Cambridge, in groups of five or six so that each of us has plenty of talk time. (The group is particularly suited to people with Myers-Briggs "N" personalities.)
We suggest a contribution of £2 at each event, to help cover the Meetup fee of over £200 a year. Either by bringing cash, or by sending a BACS with your name as the reference to account name AJ Stanton, account number 20456094, sort code 23-05-80. Thank you.
We do tend to be plagued by No Shows and last minute withdrawals. For our Sunday morning events, which are quite structured, we therefore exclude people from the Group, with regret, who have three No Shows or who have three times changed their RSVP at short notice to Not Going; except, of course, where caused by illness or other last minute disaster.

See all- Big Pub Chat with the Big Picture Conversation GroupOld Ticket Office, Cambridge
Join us for a relaxed chat in a welcoming pub, conveniently located right next to Cambridge station.
This Big Picture Conversation social is open to all. We are a vibrant small community who regularly meet to have big conversations about interesting ideas. We're expecting a good showing of regulars from our more formal Sunday morning sessions, but our group is very welcoming of newcomers of any persuasion. If you're looking to make friends who have a love of ideas and are open to anything, please come along!
Every four Wednesdays, we'll be meeting right by the station, at the Old Ticket Office. This is a favourite haunt of the group and our usual afternoon retreat after the Sunday morning discussion sessions. Take this opportunity to catch up with your friends from the group, or if you're new, to meet some of us and see what it's all about.
The Old Ticket Office, true to its name, was once the ticket office of Cambridge Station. This makes it integral to the station, to the point that you can even order drinks from one of the platforms! Its outward appearance is true to its utilitarian roots, but inside it has a welcoming feel, a great selection of beers and wines, and freshly baked pizza.
