About us
This group is for anyone interested in Elastic open source projects Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats, (www.elastic.co/products). We cover search, logging, analytics & data visualization. We welcome talks on any aspect of data exploration.
🎙️ We want to hear from you — and so do other meetup members!Present about your Elastic Stack stories, be it a 5-10 minute ⚡lightning talk⚡ or a 25-45 minute presentation with Q&A. Our Speaker Guide [1] is full of tips on giving a stellar presentation. If you’re interested visit the elastic/call-for-meetups repo [2]

GenAI in Action with Elastic
To be announced soon, Canberra, AUWhat’s this about?
You’ve got AI systems in production or heading there. They work. But as they scale to more requests, more data flows through, and managing security access patterns can’t be an afterthought. This meetup is for developers building AI systems that must operate reliably and securely at scale. We’ll dig into how to:
- Index and search your data securely: Using Elasticsearch to keep your data under your control while powering semantic search and RAG
- Ground LLMs without leaking information: Building RAG pipelines that respect access controls, so the model only sees what it should
- Detect when something’s wrong: Real-time analytics on your AI system's behaviour to catch data misuse or prompt injection early.
- Control what gets to the LLM: Practical patterns for filtering, validating, and structuring data going into your prompts.
Not theoretical. Actual code patterns and decisions you’ll make when building this.
Who should come
- You’re implementing RAG and wondering how to handle permissions
- You’ve built a chatbot and realized you need to track what data it accessed
- You’re evaluating where to store embeddings and how to make sure they’re protected
- You already use Elasticsearch and want to see what’s possible with GenAI workflows
- You’ve shipped AI features and hit security edge cases
Doesn’t matter if you’re early or already running this in production. If you’re building with both data and AI, this is for you.
