Needs a location

To help offset some meetup costs I will be doing our first fundraiser selling corgi leggings vintage 2021. I will be delivering pre-orders of the corgi holiday leggings during the events in November up until the morning of the Middleburg Parade. Please pre-order your leggings as I have limited numbers of each size and pay via venmo/zelle or pay cash on delivery.

    Here are the details
New: all leggings will come with label/sticker brand new/unworn
    Material: 95% Cotton/5% Spandex
    Care: Machine washable
Country of Origin: Label says made in Haiti
Size: S to XXXL (limited quantities of each size, price is $20 for all sizes as this is a fundraiser but you can order 2 leggings for $35)
    S 3/5 6 left
M 7/9 Medium has sold out first day! Sorry Ms!!
    L 11/13 Sold out! Sorry L folks!

These are now sold out of the walmart site. But you can check the sizing/reviews there. https://www.walmart.com/ip/No-Boundaries-Juniors-Christmas-Ankle-Leggings-3-Pack/293530719 You can still get them online elsewhere between $10-$15 used for a pair but again this is a fundraiser for our local club and I'm offering them brand new/unworn.

  • Scottish Christmas Parade Walk - Alexandria

    Old Town

    We are registered for 2022!!!

My advice is to come a bit later this year as we waited a long time to walk last year. So advising folks to gather at 11:30 (30m after it starts) rather than 10:30 as we did last year (that was 30m early but was unecessary).

I will post the exact location once the spots and order are shared

Corgi Group for the Old Town Alexandria Scottish Walk Parade!

    Details about parade here:

Parade starts at 11. Corgis walking should gather BY 11:30am as we are not near the front. Be aware parking will be difficult that morning with the influx of people and closed streets. Corg Kilts and fun Corg accessories encouraged.

Tom is hosting this one and has paid the fee to march for the group so please come out en mass!

  • Corgi Corps Middleburg Parade

    111 The Plains Rd

    Hello Corgi Owners and Lovers!!

It is that time of year again to start marking your calendars for the annual Corgi Corps group in the Middleburg Christmas parade! This year Christmas in Middleburg is going to be held on Saturday, December 3rd. Please note that the Parade time is at 2:00 pm. Many of you who have attended in years past know that there are lots of fun activities the entire day (see schedule, below), and our parade entry has been a fun and favorite parade entry for many years. We all make a sign with our Corgi’s names on it and wear it around our necks, and then march down the parade route with our beloved Corgi’s, many of whom are attired in festive doggy Christmas attire (totally optional!). Be sure to make your sign big enough so that the spectators on the sidewalks can see the name of your Corgi from afar!

To give you an idea of how some of us dress up our Corgi’s, click on the web address for photos of decorated Corgi’s in 2016 parade!! https://www.washingtonian.com/2016/12/06/here-are-lots-of-pictures-of-dogs-in-christmas-outfits/

The parade participants will be asked to line up around 1:15 pm and we are usually assigned an area near the Sporting Library or the American Legion Hall, on the west end of town on the Plains Road. I will continue to email details to you as I get them from the Parade Committee, such as the staging area location. Important parking information and other items can also be found on the Christmas in Middleburg web site, www.christmasinmiddleburg.org. I encourage all of you to consult this website (especially https://christmasinmiddleburg.org/purchase-parking/) since there is important parking information for 2022 on it. I am also going to put a post on the Facebook pages for “Visit Middleburg” and “Middleburg, VA” and “Corgi’s of Virginia, and any other Corgi Facebook pages that I think would be appropriate.
December 3rd, 2022: On Saturday, Christmas in Middleburg is your day to start the season with our joyful family festival:

    • 2:00pm: Christmas Parade - Floats, groups, clubs and animals down Washington Street.

This year it is important to march in a more cohesive manner and also to march fairly efficiently (quickly). In years past the parade was over an hour and a half, which the Organizers feel is too long.

Please spread the word amongst your Corgi friends that the more Corgis the merrier! If you do forward this email to someone who isn’t on this email list, please copy me so I can capture their email address for my records. If you know of any erroneous email addresses on this list, please let me know. Also, because I have had problems sending this email to a large distribution group, I am sending it in smaller stages of about 50 email addresses per email. If you get this email twice, I apologize.

I will be sending out a follow up email with our lineup location and other details the week of the parade. Since we missed last year’s parade, Abby (2 7/8 years old) and Panda (5 7/8 years old) and I are really looking forward to seeing all of you!!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!!

  • PLACEHOLDER - Chinese New Year Party (Corgi Dragons!)

    Gallery Place

This event will be scheduled based on venue availability. If no venue is available we will march the sidewalks of DC Chinatown.

Normal venue rules apply (fully vaccinated, over 16 weeks, no bitches in heat, well behaved). Please RSVP the number of corgis (not humans) attending.

  • 2022 C&O Canal - Widewater to Tavern

    Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center

Weather for Sunday isn't looking good so we are rescheduling to Sunday in January.

We will be gathering in front of the Tavern at 2 pm and will walk south along the towpath or Berma Road (depending on crowds) until we reach the wide water bridge entrance (across the street from Old Anglers). Please note that on perfect fall days it may be very long wait to get into the park so please check announcements related to park entrance wait times. If you miss us at 2 pm I'm sure you can catch us if you enter the park around 3 at wide water entrance. Otherwise just run along the tow path and ask where the corgis are and I'm sure you will catch up to us.

This walk should be roughly 2-4 miles total. You may turn back at any point on your own if you or your corgi is exhausted. However, please note this is NOT the "death march" version of the walk as it starts at 2pm - I will schedule that version (6-8+miles) starting at a different entrance point or on different day.

  • PLACEHOLDER - Indoor Hawaiian Luau
