Winchester Pool Pawty and Charity Dog Walk - EXTERNAL REGISTRATION REQUIRED

registration opens April 18 at midnight.

It’s a day for the dogs at Sherando Park! Start the day by registering for our 2-mile charity dog walk ($25)! Dog walk participants will get a t-shirt, bandana & early VIP access to the pool prior to the public from 11 am - noon! Please note this is an untimed Two Mile Walk. The course will be a loop through the Sherando trail system. Course marshals will be at points throughout the course to direct participants. The start/finish will be beside Sherando Pool.
Following the charity walk from 12-3 pm, bring your picnic blanket and hang out poolside with your pup! PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE TWO SESSIONS. PLEASE TRY TO GET THE EARLY SESSION AS OFFICIALLY WE SHOULD BE DOING THE WALK AND VIP SESSION FOR WALKERS. Rhett and I will probably attend both sessions but most corgis aren't as enthusiastic about hours of swimming.

Proceeds for this event will benefit Frederick County Esther Boyd Animal Shelter.
Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Only:
9 - 10 am -> Dog Walk Registration, Check-In & Packet Pickup
10 - 11am -> Dog Walk
11am - 12pm -> VIP Swim
12 - 1:15pm -> 1st Session Swim
1:30 - 2:45pm -> 2nd Session Swim

## Additional Information

Dog walk participants will get a t-shirt, bandana & early VIP access to the pool prior to the public from 11 am - noon! One bandana per registrant is included, but if you need additional bandanas, you will have the opportunity to "add on" during checkout. Please note this is an untimed Charity Walk. • Participating dogs must be currently licensed with proof of Parvo and Rabies vaccinations. You do not need to bring proof with you; if an incident occurs, you must be able to produce proof in a reasonable amount of time.
• For safety reasons, “extend-a-leashes” will NOT be allowed. Dogs must be always kept on a regular leash. Leashes should be no more than six feet in length while on the course. If the event gets crowded, longer leashes can be extremely hazardous.
• Female dogs in heat are not permitted.
• Race officials reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others. Please use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet so that this event will be safe and enjoyable for everyone.
• Please be sure you and your dog are well-conditioned for this event.
