Dog Daze - The Water Mine (Reston)

This year they are doing online tickets in advance which hopefully will cut down on the entrance line. You will need to register for an account to purchase reservation tickets. Price is $10

https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/watermine - The Water Mine goes to the dogs with a season-ending event to benefit your parks. Each dog participating will need its own ticket and must be up to date on all vaccinations. Humans are NOT allowed to swim.

Please make sure to have vaccination records and a life jacket for those attempting their paws at swimming the deeper pools. This park has a lazy river and nice shallow pool for corgis as well as a large grassy hill for non-swimmers. You can bring lawn chairs for the grassy hill but you WILL get peed on so don't set up any blankets/towels on the ground.

As a reminder do NOT trim your dogs nails less than a week before this event. Water and nails soften and you may end up with bloody nails. While this is a good way to push back a quick it will freak everyone out if your dog is running around leaving bloody paw prints so don't be that dog!
