Taco Cat-River Tubing, Tacos and Palindromes

A Too Hot to hike Summer series event.

We will carpool from Academy at Hamilton Place. About an hour drive.

Yes you can meet us there. No, I don't know exactly when we will get there, but you can meet us there.

Taco Cat is a Palindrome. Just googled some images and the cat in the tube came up. I thought what the...? Taco Cat forwards or back is the same and delicious. Just kidding, never had cat (that I know of) before. Palindromes are interesting, Kayak is also a Palindrome, but we're not going Kayaking we're tubing. Taco cat Tubing backwards is Gnibut Taco Cat. Let's just go with Taco cat. We did Tellico Plains last week. So on this weekend lets do the big water. The Hiawassee. Then of course in honor of Taco Cat we get tacos.

I say this like Taco Cat is a real creature. He may actually be! I mean the Great Pumpkin, the Easter Bunny, Santa, Taco Cat. You just have to believe.

Last time we did this I had close to 60. The lady over Webb Brothers wasn't' happy with me. Not the first time I have been in trouble with a woman... I know, no-one is surprised there. Some see rules and requirements. I see guidelines. They're really more a broad brush of the way you want things to go than actual rules...

I should do better.

Okay, when we get closer to time I will call her and giver her a group size. Dang rules!

They're big on bringing cash so take a note of that or roll the dice.

it's a several hour float and we will stop once or twice to visit.

They do not reserve tubes. It is $22 bucks for a tube. Life Jacket is $8 Bring cash. They take cash. Folding money. Bring cash. I mean that is a pretty cheap way to spend the day. The nice lady on the phone said they had lots of tubes.

There are no bathrooms on the float so remember to use the restroom before we go... I think we all know what really goes on.

I texted a friend of mine from Cleveland and asked her advice on where to eat. She's from Cleveland. She assures me Taco Laguna has become one of her go to places and it's on our way home. How do you argue with Tacos?

Fun Fact Norwegians eat the 2nd most tacos per capita worldwide after Mexico. In 2012, approximately 8% of Norwegians regularly would eat tacos on Fridays. Those crazy people from Norwegia! Or is it Norway? Have you ever seen a French Taco? Bizarre! Wonder who eats the most cats?
