Melvyn J. Shochet, Kersten Distinguished Service Professor of Physics at the University of Chicago, speaks on Sunday, February 17th, on "The Higgs Boson: If not the God Particle, then what is it?" Shochet will explain why physicists are so excited by the confirmation of the existence of the Higgs Boson and discuss what this means.
Our Adult Programs:
A typical Sunday meeting begins at 10:30, ends at noon and consists of a speaker or presentation focusing on current issues, ethical philosophy, lifespan education, or the arts. Platforms are open to the public and free, although we request a donation of $5.
