Chilled Out Meetups is one of Leeds biggest groups organising social events for 18 to 38 year olds. Thinking about joining or have recently become a member? See essential information for new members by clicking this link.
Our events include an organised walk every other week (over summer), coffee and drinks socials, women-only events and one off visits to destinations in Leeds and sometimes further out. We also run 'one off' events from time to time, and hope to add more types of activities in future.
Are you in charge of a venue or other potential event destination? We'd love to hear from you about working together to put on a Meetup. In return for a space, we can offer a large group of new customers and potentially repeat business in the form of one our regular events. Feel free to send us a message.
ORGANISERS WANTED - Our group is co-owned equally by its organisers. Most decisions are made by organizers giving unanimous approval. If you're interested in running events let us know, no matter what type of event you want to do - remember as an organiser you decide the time, place and activity.
We are fully committed to everyone feeling safe and secure at events so there will be zero tolerance for any harassment, unwanted attention or any other disrespectful behavior. This is a space without any kind of prejudice including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia etc. and this includes 'jokes' and 'memes', please take it elsewhere. We may organise women-only events - if this is a problem then this isn't the right group for you.
You can make a donation to the group here.
If you treat others with kindness and use some common sense you should get along fine here, but if you'd like to check our rules and policies you can see them here.
Have questions about something not detailed in the new member guide or rules? You will probably find answers in our FAQ here.
Our financials are kept open for public viewing. You can see the ledger here.

Social of the Month
Headrow House, Bramleys Yard, The Headrow, Leeds, LS1 6PU, GBWe're going back to Headrow House, a group favourite to get together for some drinks. This venue has both a roof terrace and inside bar meaning its perfect come rain or shine.
We are NOT booking this venue privately so we'll be mixing with the general public.
Afterwards, if enough people want to stay, this might turn into a full night out.
This event takes place directly after a walk. We will be looping back to this venue at the end of the walk so you can come to both, however if you want to join the walk you need to RSVP on that event too.

Women Only Motel (Chapel Allerton)
Northlight Arts, 32 Potternewton Lane, West Yorkshire, GBNote: These women only events are made possible by the attendees and, when available, volunteer hosts. Other members rely on RSVPs to know how many people will be at an event and whose coming, so out of respect for them please update your RSVP if you're not coming. Although these events normally go ahead without a problem, attendance numbers and issues with the venue (too busy etc.) are outside of our control.
Women only social further out from the centre with easy parking for members who find this more convenient.
This event will take place at Chapel Allerton Arts Centre which is a cafe and art gallery. We have a couple of tables reserved for the group.
About the venue
Chapel Allerton Arts Centre is in Chapel Allerton, a leafy suburb a short drive from Leeds city centre which is well known for having an excellent assortment of pubs and restaurants. As well as being a cafe, art gallery and event space the venue hosts frequent art classes and workshops.
