Climate Mobilization Project - Central Oregon

Climate change is the most significant issue of our time.

Like it or not, we’ll all be organizing our lives, mobilizing ourselves, around its reality for the decades it will take to transform our civilization into something sustainable.

The personal and collective issues we face and actions we must take are numerous and feel virtually insurmountable. It’s difficult to know where to begin thinking about the problem, let alone to begin taking action.

As always, increased clarity comes from discussion and reflection about the issue at hand.

This Climate Mobilization Project will attempt to focus on all the relevant dimensions of the problem relevant to Central Oregonians.

Following generally in the path of the Climate Mobilization Project, we’ll review and discuss the following.

-- Acquire a deep understanding of, both, the global dimensions of the problem, and the Central Oregon locale details.

-- Learn about what personal and collective practices we can take on to make a difference.

-- Understand and learn to communicate the kind of life adaptations we'll need to make to be healthy and survive in our locale as well as in others

-- What actions in our communities, small and large, can we take

-- Acknowledge and address our personal and collective disappointment, grief, and anger about the life context we find ourselves in
