- Friday Climb
Hello Climbers!
With most COVID-19 restrictions lifted bookings with the venue are no longer required unless you are a first time visitor to Hard Rock and needing to do a safety induction, then you need to book.
The current info on the Hard Rock site can be found here:
https://www.hardrock.com.au/news-events/reopening-updates/Just meet at the yellow sign and introduce yourself :) We still encourage organising a climbing partner in advance if the event you are planning to go to only has one or 2 people on the ‘attending’ list so you can make sure you have at least one other person there to climb with! Feel free to reach out on the event wall or message a host :)
If we have an odd number of people, we can make a rotating group of 3.
There is also a self-belay area if you want to get in more climbing if in a group of 3 or arriving earlier. Meet up will start at 6pm but if you want to start earlier you certainly can, but again you will need to organise a climbing partner in advance.New climbers are welcome, however your mandatory induction takes about 15/20mins. Harnesses, shoes and chalk bag can be hired also.
Book in here for your induction:

Last chance to get a Mt Macedon trip in before the perma-mist sets in again until summer!
As per tradition we will meet at the Mt Macedon Trading Post for a quick coffee then head up to the crag. There will be top ropes set up for the beginners and hopefully a few people sport climbing as well. I will organise a carpool to get everyone there efficiently.
You will need to bring:
- Climbing helmet
- Climbing harness
- Climbing shoes
- Lunch, snacks and drinking water
- Warm clothes (don't be deceived by the forecast, it gets cold up there
- Sun protection
This trip will be dependent on enough anchor setters joining to help out.
See you all there!

We really need more anchor setters for this trip. You don't have to be checked off, but if you are available it would be great if you could join
I am unable to get to the gear room due to work commitments so I will need someone who would be able to pick up the necessary gear for the trip (e.g. ropes, etc) and return it. Please let me know in the comments if you would be able to do this. If you do not have a helmet or harness, you will be needing to go to the gear room anyway, so this will not be too much of an inconvenience for you. The gear room is open on Tuesdays + Thursdays 6:30pm - 7:30pm
