What we’re about

We aim to plan well-communicated and organized trail runs throughout Colorado and beyond. Our trips will limit the number of rigs and MAY "recommend" minimum vehicle specifications for certain trails in order to keep runs manageable, safe, and fun. Please ensure you check out trail descriptions on traildamage.com, trailsoffroad.com, etc. or in guidebooks before rsvping to ensure you are qualified for a trail.

We welcome all 4x4 vehicles and while we are mainly a Colorado group, out of state members are also encouraged to join and attend runs while visiting Colorado or runs we do out of state. We will plan day trips as well as some overnights and a few longer trips. If you have a trail/date request, please feel free to message the organizers and we can try to set something up!

Before signing up for a run, please fill out your bio within Colorado Rock Crawlers (different from your overall meet-up bio) with rig specs (tire size, lockers, lift, recovery gear, etc) and experience (years, most difficult trails completed, etc) as well as any special skills you may have (recovery, spotting, etc.) This information will be used to determine suitability for more difficult runs. If you sign up for a more difficult trail and do not have a bio and do not respond to messages from organizers regarding this information you will be dropped from the run to allow those on the wait list to move up. This requirement is in place for safety!

There is a $10 annual fee for members. This helps me cover the cost of the Meetup costs and ensure we have members that are serious about being a part of the group. There is a 30 day trial period for new members. If you are concerned about paying because no runs are scheduled, please feel free to message me about runs that I will be posting. It is normal for there to be a lull in run planning during the colder/snowier months.

Because we have a limited number of rigs on runs, please make sure to remove yourself from runs you cannot attend to allow those on the wait list to move up. In addition, I will track no shows and more than 2 no shows per year will result in removal from the group. If there are extenuating circumstances, please feel free to message me.

Only RSVP for your rig and guest rigs (NOT passengers). Some runs will not allow guest rigs in order to ensure suitability. If you know someone who wants to go along please have them sign up in meetup and fill out a bio and then RSVP.

Please be on time! Be courteous and show respect to our trail leaders. Ensure you are adhering to trail etiquette. No going off trail, littering, illegal activity, inappropriate behavior etc. Please come prepared with a full tank of gas, water, and anything you may need for a long day on the trail.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to message me (Donna Young)

Thanks!!
