Jason August and Bob McNeil will be leading a workshop for goal setting to enable everyone to maximize their 2023. While is says 'business development' ...this applies to anyone with a sales function.

Objective: To help participants set achievable personal and professional goals, develop action plans, and share their goals within the group for mutual support and accountability.

Agenda:

  • 5: 30 to 6:00 Networking / Pizza
  • 6:00 Introduction and Icebreaker (15 minutes)

A. Welcome and overview of the workshop's purpose and objectives.
B. Icebreaker activity: Have participants share one personal or professional goal they've achieved in the past year.

II. Goal-Setting Theory and Principles (15 minutes)
A. Presentation on SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).
B. Discussion on the importance of goal-setting for personal and professional growth.

III. Personal Goal-Setting (15 minutes)
A. Participants identify and write down 2-3 personal goals.
B. Encourage participants to use the SMART criteria.
C. Optional: Share personal goals with a partner for feedback and support.

IV. Professional Goal-Setting (15 minutes)
A. Participants identify and write down 2-3 professional goals related to technology sales or growth hacking.
B. Encourage participants to use the SMART criteria.
C. Optional: Share professional goals with a partner for feedback and support.

VII. Action Planning (20 minutes)
A. Participants develop action plans for each goal.
B. Discuss strategies for overcoming obstacles, time management, and staying motivated.
C. Optional: Share action plans with a partner for additional insights and suggestions.

VIII. Group Sharing and Networking (25 minutes)
A. Participants share one personal and one professional goal with the entire group.
B. Group members offer encouragement, support, and possible connections to help achieve goals.

IX. Closing and Commitment (5 minutes)
A. Participants commit to supporting each other in achieving their goals.
B. Discuss the possibility of follow-up meetings or check-ins to track progress.
C. Thank participants and encourage continued networking and goal-setting discussions.
