Monday 6pm Run in Washington Park

Washington Park Recreation Center

** CHANGE OF MEETING LOCATION: Commencing February 7, 2022 we will once again begin meeting in front of the Recreation Center in Wash Park. **

Achilles Colorado welcomes athletes of all abilities. We match volunteers with athletes with disabilities, running, walking or rolling. You can choose to walk or run various distances around Washington Park. Our most popular option is to complete the 2.5 mile loop around the park 1 or 2 times, but there are many options, including the 2-mile road within the park.

We pair runners up in small groups according to their pace. Runners, walkers, and pushrim athletes of all levels attend. You can choose to guide one of our athletes or just run along with a group.

Until conditions change, we recommend getting to the meet up area ahead of time. If you need help connecting with a guide or want information on the group, contact Pam at [masked].

If you are comfortable, we ask you to wear a mask and follow social distance guidelines before and after we run.

5:30 pm Belleview Elementary School and Cherry Creek State Park

Campus Middle School

We leave the parking lot at 5:30 PM, so please try to arrive a few minutes early. If you are running late or can't find us, leave a comment or send a DM.

Our average distance is about 4.5 miles, but we might do more or less depending on how the group is feeling. People usually run at a variety of paces: 8 min/mile to 13 min/mile. But, we are primarily a social run! Even if you don't typically run that far or that fast, we are happy to have you! We'll always have someone wait or circle back if you happen to fall behind.

We are a running and walking group. Everyone needs a way to get over hump day right!? This run club is for all levels of runners; whether you're training for a race, pushing a stroller, walking a dog or just looking to meet people. This group is a great way to be social, run, and meet new running partners! Come join us and be part of the group! This group is meant to be fun and a great way to meet new people with common interests.

Feel free to wear headphones, but we are usually talking and socializing. During the winter, it will be dark, so please bring a headlamp if you have one. We often have extras, though.

We look forward to seeing you!
