What we're about

Welcome to The Boulder (and Beyond!) Vegan Meetup!

Join us and meet a compassionate community of like minded people who are interested in living a more healthful, sustainable and compassionate lifestyle. We welcome ALL people, from vegan to veg curious.

The Boulder (and Beyond!) Vegan meetup mission is to educate people about the powerful effects of our food choices and the many benefits of a plant based diet for humane, environmental and health reasons. It has never been easier, more delicious and more urgent to shift away from animal agriculture, and we are here to support you in those efforts. Join an amazing group of people, change your life and help change the world.

Our events include monthly potlucks, restaurant outings, hikes, vegan-friendly happy hours, yoga nights, book clubs, film screenings, speakers, activist events, community education and outreach, animal sanctuary volunteer days, and more. Have amazingly delicious meals, share your favorite plant based/cruelty free recipes, keep your body healthy and fit, and build a supportive community. Veg curious are always welcome and will no doubt be amazed at the abundance and deliciousness of vegan options and meals! And worry not if you aren't a culinary whiz - there are SO many vegan foods, prepared and otherwise, available at all supermarkets- always feel free to contact me if you need help figuring out what to bring.

This is a wonderfully diverse group of people and spans all ages, backgrounds and interests.

We look forward to building a compassionate community with all of you. Children of of all ages are always welcome.

In Compassion For All Beings,

Donna

Vegan March Potluck

1201 Yarmouth Ave

We used to have monthly potlucks, and I thought I'd start it up again to celebrate my Birthday Month! The potluck is a great opportunity to meet new friends, hear about upcoming events and plan new ones. ~ Please BYO plate, cup and fork to be good for the environment. ~ Consider coming by bike or bus. The Skip and 204 stop 1 min walk away! ~ Bring a main course, desert, or drink to share with 4-8 people. (Reminder for those new to vegan food: Vegan means 'no animal products,' so no meat, milk, fish, eggs, honey, or other pesky ingredients, like 'whey.' Ask if you have any questions! I'd be happy to help!) I have not led a Vegan Meetup since before I went to New Zealand in 2016! It's been a long time, but I'm looking forward to re-connecting over dinner and planning more soon! Looking forward to seeing you, rain, snow or shine!

ART SHOW *Vegan Artist*: Celebrate Creativity with me on my B-DAY!

I am having a casual Art Show at my house on my Birthday week! Join me to celebrate creativity! I have a LOT of Nature photography and paintings with vegan or environmental themes (like the one above!). I've spent so much time painting and doing photography in remote places in nature. It is a joy to share it! I'll have paintings and photos of Colorado, New Zealand, etc. I'm calling it "Tales of the Trails" because almost every piece of art has a story about it (and most relate to nature, with other themes mixed in). ~ BYOB or other beverage. I won't have enough dishes to accommodate everyone:-) And I'm not getting single use because there's no need to waste paper or plastic for one evening's use! ~ Please hang out or stop by to enjoy part of the evening! This evening is about connecting, meeting people, sharing stories, and being inspired. One can purchase art if one wants, but that is not the reason for celebration.) I just made this page on my site:-) Like most artists, I produce a lot, but organize it less. I've got 1000s of paintings to go through and 10s of 1000s of photos! It would be a shame to not share them! https://francee.smugmug.com/Random/Kira-Art/Kira-Davis-Art
