About us
Welcome to The Boulder (and Beyond!) Vegan Meetup!
Join us and meet a compassionate community of like minded people who are interested in living a more healthful, sustainable and compassionate lifestyle. We welcome ALL people, from vegan to veg curious.
The Boulder (and Beyond!) Vegan meetup mission is to educate people about the powerful effects of our food choices and the many benefits of a plant based diet for humane, environmental and health reasons. It has never been easier, more delicious and more urgent to shift away from animal agriculture, and we are here to support you in those efforts. Join an amazing group of people, change your life and help change the world.
Our events include monthly potlucks, restaurant outings, hikes, vegan-friendly happy hours, yoga nights, book clubs, film screenings, speakers, activist events, community education and outreach, animal sanctuary volunteer days, and more. Have amazingly delicious meals, share your favorite plant based/cruelty free recipes, keep your body healthy and fit, and build a supportive community. Veg curious are always welcome and will no doubt be amazed at the abundance and deliciousness of vegan options and meals! And worry not if you aren't a culinary whiz - there are SO many vegan foods, prepared and otherwise, available at all supermarkets- always feel free to contact me if you need help figuring out what to bring.
This is a wonderfully diverse group of people and spans all ages, backgrounds and interests.
We look forward to building a compassionate community with all of you. Children of of all ages are always welcome.
In Compassion For All Beings,
Donna

ANNOUNCEMENT: Rescue Effort to Save the Dogs! + Adoption Form
Location not specified yetANNOUNCEMENT
PLEASE SEE BELOW. PLEASE DO NOT RSVP HERE.
From The Simple Heart substack page:
"Folks, I need you to join me in Dane County, Wisconsin on Sunday, April 19 for what may be the most important rescue in animal rights history. We need 2,000 people to take action at Ridglan Farms on April 19—one person for every puppy still trapped in a cage—to create unstoppable momentum and free every dog tortured in a lab.
The first rescue on March 15 showed the power of open rescue."
"Millions of people were inspired when 100 people walked into Ridglan Farms, carrying white flowers and displaying peace signs, and walked out with desperate beagles in our arms.""We got shout outs from celebrities and influencers, ranging from Superman director James Gunn to sports magnate Dave Portnoy. Grassroots supporters like you donated nearly $100,000 for this all-volunteer operation in a few days. And most importantly, we got 22 beautiful puppies out of hell. (Heartbreakingly, eight others—the #Ridglan8—were illegally seized by the police and dragged back into a vivisector’s cage.)"
The case for the legal right to rescue is stronger than ever. Indeed, local prosecutors already tried and failed to prosecute rescuers once. If they try again, it will simply bring even more attention to the vivisection industry’s corruption and cruelty."Here is how you can help
- Receive updates from The Simple Heart's substack page
- Attend the rescue on April 19th in Wisconsin (you'll be in good company with plenty of activists from Colorado!)
- Fill out a Google Form to be considered to adopt a beagle!
"Here’s the best part. The action won’t end with the rescue of the Ridglan dogs. The coalition we create will be deployed for other efforts, from foxes being skinned for fur, to pigs trapped in crates, but especially for all the animals tortured in labs. The long-term vision is to build a fast-acting, cooperative, and whip-smart network of rescuers, embedded in universities and faith-based spaces, who can be quickly deployed wherever the movement needs us."
"First, we’ll save the animals at Ridglan. Then, we’ll save them all."
