Hi everyone,
I am profoundly sad to let you all know that a fellow member of the vegan community, Matt Heidenfeld, has died.

While i only met him a few times, he was a gentle soul that cared deeply. Matt  was a well loved middle school teacher and a courageous animal activist. Back in May, when the circus was in Brighton, Matt put out a request for folks to join him to protest(and educate attendees) this barbaric form of entertainment. Even though no one did, he showed up by himself at every single circus event. That takes a remarkable amount of courage, fortitude and care.

Such a great loss for all of us, especially the animals he stood up for.

May you rest in peace, Matt.
