Oscar Watch: ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER at the Drexel Theatre!

Director Paul Thomas Anderson returns for his first film since 2021’s Licorice Pizza with this dark comedy-action-thriller about a group of ex-revolutionaries who reunite to rescue the daughter of one of their own. Here are details, a trailer and our plan for this event:

DESCRIPTION: When an evil enemy resurfaces after 16 years, a group of ex-revolutionaries reunite to rescue one of their own's daughter. The film is written/directed/produced by Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights, Licorice Pizza). The ensemble cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Alana Haim, Teyana Taylor, Benicio Del Toro and Wood Harris.

BUZZ: Early buzz is strong for this “fast-paced, hilarious, and entertaining” film and potential awards contender! According to Oscar-winner director Steven Spielberg (who doesn’t even have anything to do with the film), "It is really incredible….what an insane movie, oh my God. There is more action in the first hour of this than every other film” than PTA has “ever directed."
