BUZZ & ACCLAIM: Sentimental Value premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival where it received widespread acclaim and won the Grand Prix. It also won the International Audience Award at the 2025 Munich Film Festival, Peoples Choice Runer up for International Film at the Toronto Film Festival and was selected as the Norwegian entry for Best International Feature Film at next year’s Academy Awards! The film is earning a stellar 93% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes where critics praise it as intelligent cinema that’s actually fun to watch. Others call it a “moving” and “powerful” film that’s a “layered, moving, and beautifully crafted family drama.”
PARKING: Close, convenient parking is available in the nearby garage (located between 9th and 11th, just off High St). Bring your ticket with you and have it validated at the theater and for $2, you’re covered for the night!
PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 7:15pm showing and meet in the upstairs lobby between 6:45 and 7:00pm! A very limited release and rumored to be one of the best films of the year, so recommend advance ticket purchase via the Gateway website as soon as possible! Once you have yours, please list your seat number in the Comments below.
NOTE: It’s in a smaller theater so we may have enough to sell this one out ourselves or often our advance ticket sales are enough to prompt the Gateway move it into a larger theater.
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
