What's really going on at the intersection of connected vehicles, mobility, and smart cities? Why are we waiting for revolution?
Let’s make it happen.
Connected CarTalk is a happy hour series that brings together leaders in transportation and technology to discuss exciting developments in the field. Bring your insights, connect with remarkable people, and identify solutions to our greatest transportation challenges with stimulating conversations and drinks.
We're going with a new format for this next event. Not only are we once again having a guest speaker to spark discussion, we're having it during the noon hour so you can take a breather, or lunch and munch and leave more time after the work day for other things.
Electric Vehicle Regulation: Roadmap for Dealing with Autonomous Vehicles
California Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order requiring all new cars sold in the state to be zero-emission vehicles by 2035. The measure is not only aimed at improving the environment and addressing climate change, but also at spurring innovation and economic growth in the state. The switch to zero-emission vehicles is just one of many challenges facing the auto industry today. Can legislation, such as California's recent executive order, also accelerate development and deployment of connected and autonomous vehicles vehicles?
Join Connected Car Talk DC and the DC Autonomous Vehicles Association (DC-AVA) as we host a discussion with Selika Talbott of American University to learn about how legislation can be a roadmap for the future of mobility.
