Greetings,
Join other readers again for the Last Sunday of the Month Book Discussion and Dinner. The end of the month book discussion can continue to emphasize social justice advocacy (identifying and addressing challenges within the community), community service opportunities, collaboration, and commitment to personal goals in various life areas to include relationships, entrepreneurship, finances, and holistic health (e.g., physical, mental, emotional, spiritual).
For the past two years, the end of the month book discussion has been conducted primarily in-person at local coffee shops/cafes/bookstores, however, feel free to share any suggestions regarding location (to include virtually), meeting days/times, or various books/content of interest to feature. The location for this month is residential (Shaw/U Street Neighborhood, lounge area), feel free to partake in any food provided, bring food, or order from nearby markets, restaurants, and/or cafes.
Though a specific book (non-fiction predominantly) may be the focus of any particular discussion, feel free to continue to bring in books that you are currently reading (or have previously read). Topics include but are not limited to social justice advocacy, personal development, relationships, entrepreneurship, finances, holistic health, spirituality, metaphysics, and philosophy.
All are welcome to attend to include social justice advocates/activists, entrepreneurs, creatives, artists, writers, speakers (established or emerging), and community leaders. Feel free to attend, mix, mingle, co-work, collaborate, and network with those of like mind. If there are any questions, comments, or if you or someone you know of is interested in facilitating/co-facilitating do not hesitate to reach out via meet-up messages or phone. Additional updates may also be added to the event chat/comment section at anytime, thank you.
Note: This meeting co-occurs with the Eaton Day Party (3:00pm to 9:00pm same day). If anyone prefers to meet at Eaton from 2:00pm to 3:00pm/4:00pm feel free to make note, thank you.
