Join us Saturday, July 4th, noon to 1:45p at CC's Coffee House on Esplanade Ave. (between North Broad and City Park). We might or might not be in their community room -- to the right, before the bathrooms, as you walk in. Come and leave anytime.

We'll discuss 2 short texts by Fyodor Dostoevsky. (Any translation is acceptable.)

"NOTES (or LETTERS) FROM UNDERGROUND" -- a 1864 novella.
About 110 pages.

"The GRAND INQUISITOR" -- one chapter (Book V, Chapter 5) in his 1880 final novel "The Brothers Karamazov". About 20 pages.
Both texts are available for free online as text, like at gutenberg.org , and as audio recording, like on youtube.com .
The two texts have been bundled into the book "Notes from Underground, The Grand Inquisitor", edited by Ralph Matlaw.
