What we’re about
Some of my best conversations and connections have been made with craft beer in my hand. If this statement resonants with you, then this meetup is for you. We rotate visiting some of the best breweries and craft beer bars that Denver, Boulder, and surrounding areas have to offer. Come to network, make a friend, meet new connections, socialize, collaborate, and more...all while drinking great craft beer. Most events are formatted like a happy hour: late afternoon/early evening on a weeknight (Tues-Thur) and you pay for what you drink.

See all- Gathering @ Echo Brewing Co. in Erie, COEcho Brewing - Erie, Erie, CO
This Meetup likes to travel far and wide for craft beer. On Tuesday, August 12th we head to Erie's lone brewery - Echo Brewing Co. We'll be in their big outdoor biergarten - let's hope the weather cooperates! Come for good beer and stay for their tasty pizza - if that's your thing.
Reminders:
- Feel free to bring others and encourage them to join this Meetup. It'll make it easier for them to hear about upcoming events and to RSVP.
- Be respectful and welcoming to all members. The organizer reserves the right to remove any member from the group who doesn't play well with others.
- Similarly, be respectful to the organizer - only RSVP if you are truly coming and make your best effort to give as much advance notice as possible if you need to cancel. This also helps anyone on the Waitlist get a chance to come. And if you're a no-show 3 times, you will be removed from the group.
- Be smart when drinking alcohol and safe getting home.
- Events are free and you pay for your own beer. Buying a beer for the organizer is encouraged!
- 3rd Annual Beer Stroll in and around the Baker neighborhood in Denver, CONeeds location
Join us for our 3rd annual beer stroll. Yes, a beer stroll - not a beer crawl - because we always drink responsibly and plan to stay upright, right?!? This year we are going to stroll in and around the historic Baker neighborhood.
6 hours of day drinking may sound like a lot - and you're right! Please do not feel like you need to join us for all 5 stops. In fact, it will help with crowd management at these venues if our group numbers are more fluid. So come for the first part and leave early, come later and stay until the end, come to just one stop, come to one stop and stay there with other folks if you really enjoy that spot, skip a stop so you can have more time at your favorite spot. Or come for the whole thing!
1:00-2:30pm Black Sky Brewery - 490 Santa Fe Drive
- I'm giving us a bit more time here. First, this will give us buffer for any latecomers. Second, they have food! It's always good idea to lay some foundation in your belly before a day of beer and strolling.
- Our next stop is about 15 minutes away so we'll depart around 2:15pm.
2:30-3:30pm Novel Strand Brewing Co. - 305 W 1st Avenue
- This is our smallest stop. So if anyone want to skip a brewery, choose this one! It'll help greatly with crowd management.
- They have coffee service until 3pm so you can take a break from beer and get your caffeine fix instead.
- Our next stop is about 10 minutes away so we'll depart around 3:20pm.
3:30-4:30pm Baere Brewing Co. - 320 Broadway, Unit E
- They are under new management since we gathered there in 2023. They added pizza and golf. Head to their website to book a tee time in their virtual simulator if that's your thing. You can always catch up with us a later stop.
- Our next stop is only 5 minutes away so we'll depart around 4:25pm.
4:30-5:30pm Banded Oak Brewing Co. - 470 Broadway
- The word is they are closing at the end of September. So I am devoting a full hour here before moving onto our last stop. Spend lots of money here!
- Our next stop is about 15 minutes away so we'll depart around 5:30pm.
5:45-7:00pm (or later) Apres at Govnr's Park - 400 E 7th Avenue
- This is the perfect place to end. The venue houses 2 different brewery outposts (Storm Peak and Broken Compass), plus Carboy Winery and a Breckenridge Distillery outpost (if you are ready to switch from beer). They also have food if you're ready for dinner.
You are all adults but here are some common sense suggestions:
- Bring a water vessel that you can refill throughout the stroll. And a good best practice is drink at least one glass of water for every glass of beer you have.
- Bring comfy shoes and - assuming it's nice, summer day - sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
- Come well-fed or, put differently, don't start drinking on an empty stomach. That being said, several of our stops do serve food.
- Be mindful of your ABV percentages and your serving sizes. My recommendation for lasting longer is smaller pours (10oz or less) and less-boozy beers (6% ABV or lower).
- Take public transportation or an Uber/Lyft. It's the safe thing to do, plus you won't have to worry about parking or backtracking to your car at the end.

- Gathering @ Mad Macks Brewing in Golden, COOhm Brewing Company, Golden, CO
Join us on Wednesday, September 10th at Mad Macks Brewing in Golden, CO. Located near the Applewood neighborhood, this tiny and mighty brewery is cranking out good beer while utilizing sustainable practices whenever they can.
FYI - they took over Ohm Brewing and that's what Meetup still has in their system. I can't seem to override it. So it says the location is Ohm but we are indeed going to the new brewing in that space - Mad Macks!

- ALL-MEMBER Gathering @ Ratio Beerworks RiNo in Denver, CORatio Beerworks, Denver, CO
Every year I attempt the fool's errand of trying to get all of our members to come out on the same night. At the time of this post, we have 769 members. How many of you will come? It's a true test of your dedication to this group. If you can't at least try to make an earnest effort to come to our "all-member" event, why be in the group at all? Yes, I am not above a good ol' fashioned guilt trip, especially if it works!
Please note that I have extended the timeframe (4-8pm), so hopefully this helps accommodate more schedules that evening. Another important change is you can't bring guests; it's members only. The easy way around this is get your guest(s) to become a member of this Meetup!
So join us on Thursday, September 25th, starting at 4pm at Ratio Beerworks in RiNo. You have to. Otherwise, your membership will be revoked. Just kidding, but I do hope those of you who have not yet been to one of our Meetups truly make the effort to come and see what we are all about!
