Harvest Moon over Five Mile Point Lighthouse

We will be meeting in West Haven to shoot the moon over the Five Mile Point lighthouse. The sun will set at 7:14 PM pm that day and the moon will be directly behind the lighthouse at 7:22 pm. That should give us terrific lighting conditions. We will be 2.8 miles from the lighthouse. The moon will appear to be 137 feet in diameter versus the 80 foot lighthouse. The minimum full frame equivalent lens should be 500mm. Longer won't hurt!

Driving directions will be sent to participants. Please plan on arriving by 6:00 PM. We want to have plenty of time to setup and take some test shots before moonrise.

Shooting spot is an easy walk from the parking lot. Parking costs $5 and hour.
