In SoCal, there are hundreds of nodes creating impressive regional networks, all from low cost devices! In this class, we'll give you a Meshcore node - and teach you how to use it!

• What is Meshcore?

Meshcore is also an off-grid LoRa mesh network, but with improvements over Meshtastic that allow it to scale better when networks become busy. Meshcore uses routes (more like Tor) to create paths between distant nodes, with a much higher maximum hop limit. That makes Meshcore better for more reliable messaging, and capable of relaying messages farther while reading traffic.

Join us at Null Space Labs to set up your own Meshcore node, the cat-themed Nibble! This node includes a screen, buttons, and environmental sensor (temperature, pressure, and humidity) for creating a remote weather station! The Nibble is breadboard-compatible, and allows for controlling anything remotely over the mesh, or controlling your node via serial output!
