Established over a century ago, we are proud members of the global Lions International network, dedicated to community service and humanitarian aid. With a rich history of over 100 years in Dallas, we bring together neighbors, friends, and community leaders committed to making a meaningful impact. Who We Are: Our club is a vibrant community of members from various backgrounds, professions, and age groups. From young professionals to seasoned experts in their fields, our members include educators, healthcare workers, business owners, and retirees, all united by a common goal of service. This diverse mix enriches our club with a wide range of perspectives and skills, enhancing our community projects and outreach efforts.
What We Do: As part of Lions International, we engage in a variety of service projects that address local needs and global challenges. Our initiatives range from providing vision care and supporting health and wellness to environmental conservation and feeding the hungry. We adapt our projects to meet the evolving needs of our community, ensuring our impact is both meaningful and relevant.
Meetings: Join us on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month at 11:45am at El Centro College in Downtown Dallas. Our meetings are opportunities for hearing about our projects, learning from diverse guest speakers, and enjoying fellowship. They are open to all who are interested in service and community improvement.

About the Program:
Join us for a timely and important conversation with Dr. Philip Huang, Director of Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS). Dr. Huang has led Dallas County’s public health response to major challenges including COVID-19, Mpox, and more. With a career spanning decades in public health leadership at the local, state, and federal level, he brings powerful insights into the health of our community and the future of public health.
This program continues our club’s proud tradition of engaging Dallas leaders. In 2025, we’ve already welcomed:
– Dr. Stephanie Elizalde, Superintendent, Dallas ISD
– Dr. Bradford Williams, President, El Centro
– Trustee Joe Carreon, Dallas ISD
– Dallas County Treasurer Pauline Medrano
– Judge Audrey Moorehead
– Historian Sol Villasana
– Councilmembers Omar Narvaez and Adam Medrano
– Community partners from Downtown Dallas Inc. and the Japan America Society of DFW
