Welcome to the Databricks South Coast Meetup, a community for people building, learning, and experimenting with data and AI on Databricks.
Data engineers, analytics engineers, data scientists, architects, platform leads, BI specialists, AI practitioners, anyone just Databricks-curious. You're all welcome. The idea is simple: get people from Bournemouth and across the South Coast together to share practical ideas, learn from real projects, and build a local community that's useful, friendly and supportive.
Expect a relaxed mix of talks, demos, Q&A and networking, plus pizza and drinks. We'll range across data engineering, analytics, AI, governance, architecture, Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog, Lakebase, Lakeflow, Mosaic AI, Agent Bricks and whatever else is worth your time, always with a focus on what's actually useful rather than buzzword bingo.
The group is backed by Advancing Analytics and Databricks, and run by people who care about getting it right. We've been part of the Databricks community for years, helping run meetups across the UK and Europe, including London, Bristol and Lisbon. These evenings work best when they're welcoming, technical and grounded in real work, and that's what we're going for here.
