Topic and description

Mastering the Future of Tech: Harness the Power of Advanced LLM and CI/CD Practices

Come experience the transformative potential of refined Language Learning Models (LLM) and advanced application programming interfaces (APIs), which have dramatically improved the ease of integrating LLM into applications and services. This evolution has unlocked manifold benefits for end users, including enhanced user interfaces and more.

Notably, even platforms like CircleCI are pioneering the integration of LLM into traditional CI/CD services. This has resulted in innovative features such as the ability to provide troubleshooting alternatives without duplicating error messages, multilingual documentation support, and streamlined Knowledge Base searching.

As the possibilities continue to grow, fed by user input and backend data development, ensuring quality has become paramount for progress. Our event centers on this critical issue, as we aim to elaborate on efficient and high-quality LLM service MLOps using CircleCI from three perspectives: Build (LLM integration into your apps), Test (testing responses and actions from LLM), and Deploy (publishing models).

Speaker’s bio

Masahiko Funaki has built an impressive career in the field of computational linguistics. Following his university graduation, he plunged into natural language processing (NLP) in Tokyo, working with text summarization, classification, and input assistance across mainframe, Unix, and PC environments.

His journey then led him to Dejima Inc. in Silicon Valley, a company that served as a precursor to Apple's Siri, where he dedicated his efforts towards the development of natural language interfaces. Following Dejima's acquisition by Sybase Inc., and subsequently by SAP, Mr. Funaki continued to advance the development of search solutions for enterprises and natural language interfaces for embedded devices in automobiles and consumer electronics.

Shifting from engineering-focused tasks to consulting for management, Masahiko Funaki embarked on a new chapter at Microsoft, where he advised large companies on cloud-based innovations. In this role, he realized the crucial need for a bridge between management and engineers, witnessing first-hand the importance of maintaining continuously operational software through evolutionary phases—from prototyping to the implementation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

Drawing upon these insights and experiences, he joined CircleCI and now actively serves as a Developer Advocate, building a stronger and more integrated tech community.
