Urban Hike: "The Neighborhoods" The Grotto Gardens & The Gettysburg Grocery

Let's get together and explore the unique neighborhoods and areas that Dayton has to see!

For this Urban let's go back to the amazing Grotto Gardens on the Dayton VA medical center grounds.

We will have Maura, who is a master gardener and tour guide to give us an awesome tour of the gardens! You will be blown away at the history!

But first let's meet at the newly opened Gettysburg Grocery. This is on a 16 acre complex, with Homeful(an agency that helps low income persons), a Kettering Medical office, a Pharmacy and housing. It's a beautiful piece of architecture! The owners are the Patterson's! Yes the famous ones who started NCR, The Engineers Club, and many more things in our city.

Let's go inside the grocery and check it out and I'm going to get something from the deli to take to the gardens. After the Grotto tour let's sit by the ponds and eat and relax. The deli is ran by a chef!

After the grocery we'll drive down to the Grotto for the tour.
