Siebenthaler Fen Fundraiser

Hello Dayton Hikers! This is Beth Edsall, Outreach Director with Beaver Creek Wetlands Association. BCWA is grateful to all of you who have volunteered with us, enjoyed walks in the wetlands and made donations toward the Spotted Turtle Trail Project, a project to create a continuous, 15-mile trail along the Beaver Creek Wetland corridor.

We are now raising funds to replace the boardwalk at Siebenthaler Fen. You may know that Seibenthaler Fen was closed twice this spring after heavy rains washed away a portion of the boardwalk in April, and a tree fell on another area, damaging the boardwalk in June.

The new boardwalk will be made of composite lumber, just like that installed in Dave Nolin Wetlands Reserve and Beerman Fen...AND it will be ADA compliant. (By the way, a tree fell on the Nolin Reserve boardwalk with no damage to it!)
