Caesar Creek - 5 mile Hike - Brisk

Trying this hike again at Caesar Creek as I had to change locations at the last minute a few weeks ago. As of this writing the weather looks questionable, so please check here for updates before heading out Saturday morning.

Please note start time of 8:30 am. We will start and finish at the Visitor Center at 4020 North Clarksville Rd, Waynesville.

This hike will be about 5 miles at a moderately brisk pace of 3.0 mph. Beginning at the Visitor Center, we will hike out to the Hopewell Day Lodge and back. It is a hilly hike with a lot of roots and some tricky footing. There are also likely to be muddy spots. We will take a break at the Hopewell Day Lodge so bring a snack if desired. Please bring PLENTY of water, as it's expected to be warm.

Wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Hiking poles are helpful but not required.

No pets please.

In the event of heavy rain, storms or high winds I may cancel. Check here for updates if weather is questionable. I will post an update here by 7am if stormy weather is expected in the area.
