Welcome Home Ice Cream Hike

We have a lot to celebrate! Dayton Hikers members have travelled far and wide this summer to do what we like to do best--hike.

~Our fearless leader, Andy "Captain Blue" Niekmap finished a 538-mile walk on the Pacific Crest Trail, from Oregon to Canada;

~DH member and hike leader Mark “Bookmark” Ribbink completed the 174-mile Tahoe Rim Trail;

~DH hmember and hike leader Karen “Tagalong” Power completed the 174-mile Camino de Costa Rica.

Another reason to party is that Dayton Hikers turns 16 years old this month! Dayton Hikers was founded in August 2009.

Hike will begin promptly at 6 PM. We will hike about 3 miles on the green trail at a moderate pace. 

Ice cream, compliments of our Donating Members, beginning at 7pm at the trailhead shelter (at the end of the paved walkway)

Guests permitted. No pets please.

Recommended Equipment: Trekking poles and water.
