Sorry for the lack of updates here as the current COVID-19 situation does not really encourage any form of group urban sessions (more than 8 pax) so its on hold for time-being. Let's get together on Zoom and work on our art practice! You can work in any medium, be a beginner, intermediate or advanced artist, start or finish works in progress, or you can just hang out and observe artists at work in their own environments. Spend a few minutes beforehand getting set up, brewing coffee or tea and gathering your supplies. It should be an enjoyable experience with no pressure to perform; I can relate to performance anxiety because I have a terminal case of it. We can show each other what we are working on and talk about our process; or we can just quietly work and feel the presence of each other in our individual acts of creation. You are studying German but you don't get a chance to practice speaking? In our conversation class you can practice and fine tune your German in a structured class, guided by an experienced German teacher. In each session we have a new topic and will tackle a variety of vocabulary. We will use the breakout feature of Zoom. You will get different discussion points and speak one-on-one with 3-4 other German learners in a separate chat room. After around 5-10 minutes I'll join your room and you'll give me an account of your conversation. I'll then correct your German and give you personalized feedback. After that you'll be assigned to a new group and discuss a new point. Are there requirements? If you already started B2 - you are ready! Why is there a fee? Hosting a meetup is not free. Welcome to the new virtual format of the Catan meet up. We use Catan Universe to play online. Log on to CatanUniverse.com and be ready to share your username with the group. If you have reached level 3 within Catan Universe, please join the Guild most of us are in called Settlers of Gotham. The most popular platform to play CU is through Steam, although some play via their web browser. At the time of the meetup, first connect to the Zoom link provided to meet everyone. We will share our screen names on Catan Universe and start a game via Catan Universe. We will go to breakout rooms, if we have more than one game going. It is ok to join at any time. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. If you haven't set up an account with Catan Universe, please try to do it before the meet up time as it suggests a tutorial. We recommend completing the tutorial to get gold, suns, scrolls (this will make more sense when you've been on the site a while). I'm excited to see everyone soon! We play Settlers the second Saturday and the third Sunday of every month . We play a mix of traditional (3-4 player) or expansion (5-6 player) Settlers as well as Knights & Cities and/or Seafarers. Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
