Open Men's Group, Eugene & Corvallis
Open Men's Group, Eugene & Corvallis
We are now gathering via ZOOM. We gather together to share a deeper connection to ourselves and to the people in our lives. Join this group if you have pondered these questions or others like them: How do I show up in the world? What blocks me from achieving my dreams? How can I become a better partner, son, father, brother, and man in the world? All men are welcome to bring themselves and their life experiences to this circle, where we truly learn from each other. Participation is completely voluntary, and confidentiality is paramount. We're not affiliated with any religious or political organizations -- all beliefs are welcome here. We meet every 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month. Meetings are free and we encourage you to join us regardless of your previous experience with men's work. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS: Circling is a practice that is most effective when everyone shows up fully present. Please arrive well rested, nourished, and with a clear and unaltered mind (this includes not having alcohol or cannabis beforehand). Please also note that this is not a therapeutic setting, and the facilitators are not trained counselors. If you have needs for a trained counselor, this practice should not be considered a substitute for any recommended care by a trained professional. If you signed up but are unable to attend, please make sure to update your RVSP status, even if it's last minute. If you end up on the waiting list, please check your status as the event approaches, as spots are likely to open up. Plan to arrive on time, as your timeliness helps ensure the flow of the meeting is not interrupted. Please stay for the full duration of the event. If you have a conflict that requires you to leave early, inform one of the organizers prior to the start of the event. • If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask one of the organizers. TO REGISTER: Please RSVP on Meetup to reserve your seat and to help us to plan for the group. Please change your RSVP if your plans change! TO REACH THE ORGANIZERS: kellys412@hotmail.com

NOTE: We've had 25-35 people each week at this meetup, but most folks aren't RSVP-ing via Meetup. Around half are from outside MA. Please join us, even if you didn't RSVP. *** The "Natick" group is now meeting via Zoom + OGS (Online Go Server), and includes many people from outside of Massachusetts. Beginners are always welcome. It is great to host people who don't live near enough to other Go players to play in person. The Zoom + OGS experience provides 75% of the in-person experience. During the meetup, you can: • Play friendly games, or watch us play • Play league games. For details about joining the league, see http://massgo.org/league/ • Join a beginners group, or get teaching games • Join a DDK or SDK study group, generally starting at 8:30 • Have your game reviewed, or watch other reviews • Participate in a review of a pro game, starting at 9:30, in "guess the move" format. You can watch the game on Twitch and chat there, or talk to other Go players watching the review on the Zoom. See https://www.twitch.tv/massgo On Tuesday evening, sign in to OGS and go to the Massachusetts Go Association group (various links are posted there), or just join the Zoom. See https://online-go.com/group/45. Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you.

For the foreseeable future, we are meeting online via Zoom. Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. Men who have been attending have the link. We ask former attendees who don't have the link or Mankind Project NWTA graduates attending for the first time, to contact either Mark or David directly (via message, email or phone) to get the meeting link (we don't publish the link at the request of the Zoom account holder, we borrow it from). While we continue to meet online, new men, who haven't yet attended a meeting, (and are not from the MKP organization) are asked to pull down the following registration form and fill it out. https://forms.gle/3ZMxEopwdQbo6Lzn9 It contains the general 'lay of the land' for sitting in this type men's circle, in an online format, with acknowledgment. When you submit it, we automatically get notified and will then follow up by sending you the meeting link. If there are questions about he process, or in general, please call either Mark (678) 641-8350 or David (404) 915 3698.

Toastmaster Tuesdays @ NBBA
Toastmaster Tuesdays @ NBBA
NBBA Toastmasters Club is designed to help individuals become better communicators through leadership training and public speaking practice. Nothing will improve your presentation skills more than straight up practice. Engaging in public speaking opportunities whenever you can will give you increased command over your delivery. This helps minimize any anxiety you might have—and those are just a couple of the benefits of regular practice. We meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays of each month unless it's a holiday. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83584879121?pwd=TG91UUZGYVFjMWZ4ZGprdGZUS2wzdz09 Meeting ID: 835 8487 9121 Passcode: TUESDAY

**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group. 2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up. 4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to “look good”, have the “right” answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space. 5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable. 6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.

Sunday funday: let's play dodgeball at Scioto Audubon park
Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
