Attendance limit: you are welcome to try to come once we hit the limit, but there is a chance this venue can’t accommodate people past the limit we’ve set.

At 1PM find us at the newly opened Carriage House in Cheesman Park for our usual casual chatting session! Come chat about any book you’ve been reading, read in the past, or want to read in the future. This is a new location so we aren’t sure how many people can be accommodated, please bear with us while we figure out how to seat everyone. We will work to make sure everyone has a companion to chat with and encourage people to mix groups throughout the session.

DOUBLE FEATURE: a group of members from our discord server will be meeting at the botanic gardens at 10am to wander and maybe do some silent reading. We would love for you to join us there too. We encourage you to join the discord to coordinate with us but you can also use the comments here, we just aren’t sure we will respond in a timely manner. DOUBLE FEATURE MULTI-EVENT: Sometimes we do a lot. Today we’ve got half a session at the park and another half at a food hall. Join us for either or both. See below for details.
FIRST EVENT 10am-12pm:
Today will mostly be one of our tried and true PARK YAP days. We sit around and hang out. Some people read silently, some people talk loudly, some people bring snacks. It’s a time. BYOE and we would love it if you were willing to share. See attached photo for location information.
ALTERNATIVES WE ENCOURAGE:
- Take a BUDDY WALK around the park with a friend! Make a new one or bring a bestie! Talk about whatever (bookish topics encouraged), then loop back around to the lazy group and tell us how it went
- AUDIO BOOK IT! Want some alone time but with others? Put in an audio book and go for a loop around the park. We can help you find a buddy or just be there to cheer you on as you do a loop. We’ll be waiting to hear how it went when you make it back to us after your jaunt.

SECOND EVENT 1pm-3pm:
After the park we will head to Edgewater Public Market to get some food and continue the conversation. We will likely be there before 1pm, but if you are joining us at this stage, I doubt we will have an established spot until about that time between the walk to the market and everyone getting their food. Please follow along in the comments for updates on our location if you are joining us for this part of the day. We also encourage joining the discord server to allow for better communication.
