About us
Denver Dances Together is for people who want more dancing in their lives, and more people to share it with. We pick from upcoming shows and go dancing together. If you make a new friend or see a familiar face - heck yeah.
The foreseeable will mostly be house and other mainstream, 'dancey' EDM events around the broader Denver area. In time, I hope to add more organizers, and more flavors of music and dance.
This group is an attempt to surround ourselves with other dancers who also feel aligned around values of embodiment, expressiveness, play, and emotional range. It's an attempt to honor that timeless and universal experience, by not over complicating it. Come be however social you want to be, and dance however you want to dance.
My own dancing journey is long, and profoundly amateurish. But I am obsessed with dancing! I've recently been inspired in many ways by my time with ecstatic dance, and I hope to be able to take some of the values inherent to those settings, while also moving beyond them. I'm an aspiring somatic therapist, and I do hope to attract other developmentally striving and socially intelligent sweethearts, because I'm sure we all benefit from creating community that is increasingly conscious and mindful of everyone's safety. 🙏 💜
