Return of the King Watch Party and Celebration

Well everyone, we've almost done it. In the beginning, I wasn't sure I'd find anyone willing to take this journey with me. People with the same love and appreciation of the books and films, AND a desire to come together and share in the wondrous, magical, and unique world that is Middle Earth, and in good company. And now, here we are. What began with the Hobbit back in April has carried us to the end. Or at least, one ending. What awaits us now is an epic celebration worthy of the love and dedication that's gone into this project - a 4 hour and 13 minute ode to one of the greatest (and longest) films of all time - Return of the King! A fitting conclusion for this chapter of our journey, I think.

As of now, we will meet at the Decker Branch Public Library, in Denver, near Platt Park, SouthWest of Wash Park. We'll be in the Basement Community Room. Let's arrive at 11:00am and set up food and drink - potluck style! Bring something to hold us over through the marathon!

The movie will begin promptly at 11:30am, finishing at 3:45pm. Then we'll clean up, pack up, and form a plan for the next step in our journey... the "S" word (Silmarillion).

I will update this event if the location changes. We have another option pending. For now, I wish that everyone may be well, and I can't wait! PS Friends and group members who have yet to attend an event are invited!! There will be plenty of room.
