About us
This is a group for anyone interested in Near Death Experiences and spiritually transformative exploration. We are an eclectic group which has been meeting for four years. Some of us are near-death or Out of Body experiencers, some heard about others’ NDEs and OBEs, some had other transformative spiritual insights, some are just curious. Our free meetings have speakers or workshops and lively, heartfelt, small group discussions. Voluntary donation for our Meetup web hosting is just $5. This helps us maintain our meetup site in order to reach out to more people. We usually meet just west of downtown Denver (29th and Federal) on 1st Saturdays at 2 pm and have a hybrid/Zoom option when available. You are invited to attend once or many times.
For more online about NDEs, go to IANDS, the International Association for Near-Death Studies at http://iands.org/home.html. Another great resource for information about OBEs, NDEs, and psychic phenomena is the International Academy of Consciousness: www.iacworld.org.

Brooke Grove's NDE and The Beauty In The Broken Glass: Trauma And Transcendence
Near Death Experience and Spiritual Development Center, 2843 Federal Blvd., Denver, CO, USThis event is hybrid with Zoom available in a second meetup post.
In December 2010, Brooke Grove experienced systemic organ failure and a traumatic brain injury that resulted in a three-day coma. The profound near-death experience (NDE) she encountered on the Other Side radically shifted her worldview as a lifelong skeptic and psychologist-in-training.
Over the next 15 years, Brooke devoted herself to healing and integrating this peak experience while navigating a series of significant mental health challenges. Along the way, she discovered a range of integrative, somatic, and energetic practices that supported her in embodying the wisdom of her NDE.
In this discussion, Brooke will share how her most recent Spiritually-Transformative Experience expanded upon the gifts of her NDE and gave birth to yet another ineffable transformation. She will also share how she consciously channeled her new book through ritual, mantra, and raw energetics, alchemizing four decades of complex trauma with the direct aid, guidance, and support of Spirit. Through her story, Brooke invites us to consider creativity not simply as an act of expression, but as a sacred dialogue with Spirit.
About Brooke Grove: Brooke is a near-death experiencer, multidisciplinary healer, former psychotherapist, author, speaker, artist, and mother whose work bridges psychology, trauma recovery, spirituality, creativity, and consciousness.
After multiple organ failure plunged her into a coma at the age of twenty-nine, Brooke's profound Near-Death Experience transformed everything she believed about life, healing, and the nature of reality. The fifteen years that followed became a deeply personal journey of integrating that experience and reconciling science with Spirit—a journey that continues to inform her work today.
Brooke holds advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology, Marital and Family Therapy, and Clinical Art Therapy, complemented by extensive postgraduate training in evidence-informed and integrative healing modalities. Recognized globally within the near-death experience community, she is a recurring speaker for the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) and Portal to Ascension, and has been featured on numerous podcasts, documentaries, conferences, and television programs. Her book, The Beauty In The Broken Glass: Memoirs Of Trauma And Transcendence, released July 2026.
Brooke believes that healing is not about becoming someone new, but about courageously returning to the truth of who we have always been.
