What we’re about

Have you always wanted to try an improv class, but feel apprehensive about taking the plunge? This group offers a gentle introduction to the craft of improvisation as well as the therapeutic benefits. Each class is designed to help women bravely take the stage and to engage in the art of play, all while being embraced in a supportive and nurturing community of women.

You might find yourself laughing out loud, dancing freely, and speaking with more authenticity and confidence. Through the use of drama therapy techniques, dance, and drama games, your mind and body will be immersed in play and creativity, in a nurturing environment.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
During the first hour you will be lead through drama therapy exercises, dance/movement, and drama games that promote play, and your sense of connection to self and community. The second hour participants will engage in creative writing prompts that promote freedom of self expression and voice. Each participant is given an opportunity to deliver a monologue that encourages getting your BRAVE on!

WHAT WILL YOU GAIN:
An invitation to be your truest and most expansive version of self.Break down the self protective barriers that keep you from making real connection and creating community.
Be celebrated and appreciated for being you.
Bravely speak your mind and allow your voice to fill the room.
A community of women supporting and empowering you to bravely take the stage with your voice, body, and soul.
A place to leave behind your worries and give yourself PERMISSION to have FUN!

Your first session with this group is $25 as a trial to see if this is something that is a match for you. If you like what you experience and would like to come back there is a sliding scale fee of $35 to $50 per session. There is also a monthly group membership option which may be more cost effective.

I hope you will join us in the embodiment of bravery, community, creativity, and play.
