About us
Welcome to the Brave Women's Community Center Meetup Group! We are a Denver Based Non-Profit:
Our Mission: The mission of The Brave Women's Community Center is to empower women and girls to overcome anxiety, depression, and societal pressures through a variety of healing and creative practices. We aim to build a supportive community where competition is replaced by collaboration, helping each individual to expand, explore, and discover their identities. This nurturing environment encourages women and girls to find their strength and bravery, and to put their own passions into practice in a welcoming and joyful setting.
Our Vision: At The Brave Women's Community Center, we envision a world where every woman and girl feels empowered to confront her challenges, embrace her unique identity, and unleash her creativity. We seek to create spaces filled with laughter, collaboration, and artistic expression, where women and girls from diverse backgrounds come together to explore theatre, dance, music, writing, and spirituality. As we continue to grow, our vision extends beyond Colorado, aiming to establish a network of centers where bravery, play, and mutual support are not just ideals but everyday realities. We envision a community center that is designed to be a joyful sanctuary, fostering personal growth and transformation through a rich tapestry of creative and healing practices.

This Little Light of Mine is a collaborative, community-centered workshop inviting women to reconnect with their inner light through creativity, reflection, and connection.
Co-led with Burn Wild Candles, this intimate gathering blends hands-on candle-making with gentle creative prompts designed to foster grounding, presence, and belonging. Participants create a custom candle and scent while engaging in reflective practices that explore light, resilience, and self-expression.
The workshop is held at a gentle pace and rooted in choice, care, and community. No prior creative experience is needed — just a willingness to slow down and create together.
This offering also serves as a community fundraiser supporting The Brave Women’s Community Center and its survivor-led storytelling work, Brave Hearts Speak. By participating, you’re supporting women’s voices while tending your own.1 attendee - $25.00

Creative Joy Lab Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite This is a paid event.Creative Joy Lab is a fully guided, in-person creative experience for women who want to let go of perfection and reconnect with joy through bad, funny, collaborative art.
Led by a creative arts therapist, this gathering invites you into a playful, supportive space where you’ll be guided through multiple creative modalities each session — including drama, movement, visual art, creative writing, and music. Every activity is designed to be process-focused, imperfect, and shared, with an emphasis on creativity, bravery, and connection rather than outcomes or skill.
This is not an art class and not therapy, but it is deeply supportive and restorative. You don’t need any creative experience, just a willingness to show up, try something new, and make a little mess together.
In Creative Joy Lab, you’re invited to:- make art that’s intentionally imperfect and often humorous
- experiment across different creative forms
- collaborate rather than perform
- laugh, move, and create alongside other women
- practice being seen without needing to get it right
All materials are provided.
We give each other Applause only, no critique.
No pressure to share personally unless you want to.
✨ Creative Joy Lab will transition into a 4-week series beginning in April. February drop-ins offer a welcoming way to experience the work.
Come as you are.
Leave lighter, more connected, and a little more alive.### 💌 A Note on the $25 Drop-In / Donations
