What we’re about
Hello! We're the Young Professionals of Denver Kiwanis Club, a group of 20 and 30 ish somethings in the Denver metro area that love to get together over a good beer, have fun, and connect with our awesome city by giving back. If you're looking to get to know your city better and make some new friends you've found the right place!
So what is Kiwanis exactly? Kiwanis is an international volunteer and philanthropic organization that has been giving back to the world for over 100 years. As one of the most respected service organizations in the world, Kiwanis provides an outstanding network of people and resources for us to pull from as we work to make Denver a better place.
We are generous with our time. We are creative with our ideas. We are passionate about making a difference. And we have fun along the way. We're excited for you to jump in with us.

See all- Volunteer: Load truck for Soles4Souls5158 Parfet St, Wheat Ridge, CO
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING:
Soles4Souls collects and sorts shoes to send to partners around the world to create opportunities for others to earn money by selling the shoes. We will be loading bags of shoes onto the truck to bring them to the next facility. The forklift will load some shoes and the rest are bagged, and we will be lifting and throwing them onto the truck.THE IMPACT:
We have reached 25,000 pounds of shoes in the warehouse, so they are ready for the next step in the journey. From here, your shoes will help to create opportunities for those in developing nations to step out of poverty through our micro-enterprise program. Our partners on the ground designate individuals and communities that will benefit from selling new and gently used shoes to generate a sustainable income. We are currently working with Haiti, Honduras, Transnistria, and Guatemala. We cannot emphasize enough that the health and safety of Soles4Souls' volunteers/staff is our highest priority. If you have any symptoms, please stay home.
