Play description:
Ernestine Ashworth spends her 17th birthday agonizing over her place in the universe; in what feels like the blink of an eye, we see her 18th, 41st, 70th and even 101st, all marked by the simple ritual of baking the same birthday cake. Across five generations and one kitchen, this poignant, funny play turns ordinary moments of family, love, loss and cake into something quietly epic.

Seats are assigned (not general admission), with different price ranges depending on where you sit, so please purchase your own ticket in whatever section works best for you. I’ll plan to be in the lobby/entrance around 1:30 pm so we can meet up before the show.
