Furlough's Paradise at Curious Theater
Details
Let’s go see Furlough’s Paradise at Curious Theatre, and grab dinner beforehand at FIRE Restaurant & Lounge at the ART Hotel
Play description:
On a brief furlough from prison to attend her mother’s funeral, Sade returns to her hometown and stays with her cousin Mina, who’s stepped away from her fast‑paced life in California. Over a single charged weekend, the two women navigate grief, family history, and long‑buried trauma as their reunion becomes a reckoning about freedom, memory, and what it means to come home.

The show starts at 7:30 pm on Friday, May 23rd at Curious Theatre Company (1080 Acoma St, Denver). Seats are assigned, so you’ll want to buy your own ticket. Post your seat in the comments so we can try to sit near each other.
For dinner, feel free to suggest something else in the comments, otherwise let’s meet at 5:30 pm at:
FIRE Restaurant & Lounge
the ART, a hotel – 1201 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203
FIRE is a contemporary American spot with cocktails and city views, a short walk from the theatre, and they serve dinner from 5:00 pm onward on Fridays. I’ll aim to be there a little before 5:30 to help wrangle a table; then we can head over to Curious in time for the 7:30 curtain
