What we’re about
Desert Wranglers Jeep Club (www.desertwranglers.club) is a family oriented off-road group which focuses on trail rides in the nearby national parks, monuments, and recreation areas. Our trails range from mild to wild. Beginner to Highly Experienced. We specialize in the beginner, teaching off-road basics on the trail and in the classroom, but we also want you to be satisfied after you have a few rides under your belt and want to do more challenging trails.
In general, our rules are basic common sense ones: stay on the trail, stay with the group, and be safe…and you have to drive a Wrangler or Gladiator. We don’t require you to attend meetings or events, and we won’t require you to volunteer for anything.
We are an independent, all-volunteer, registered Nevada 501(c)(3) non-profit Jeep club.
As mentioned before, we are family oriented, so bring your wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, kids, dogs, cats, neighbors, anyone! (As long as they fit in your Jeep) Our meetings are usually the last Thursday of every month. We do a variety of trail runs, training sessions, and other events every month. Still not sure about our group? Check out the photos of our past trail rides. We’re just a bunch of Wrangler and Gladiator owners based out of Las Vegas, Henderson, and Southern Nevada who have a common interest in riding the trails and seeing the sights near Vegas. Beginners are welcome.

🟡 Trail Run Details 🟡
- Bunkerville Choo Choo is a 28-mile 4x4 trail through the harsh desert. The trail requires off-road tires, 4x4, and high clearance. The trail has many washouts and long, loose rock hill climbs that require experience. The narrow canyon just past midway can often change after rainfall, making it more difficult. It has a rocky ledge that requires 4x4 and good ground clearance. The route has many rocky sections, so watch your tires. The trail connects with several others that branch into other remote areas. The trail is often used to access Gold Butte National Monument from Mesquite.
- We will meet at the Sinclair gas station on Falcon Ridge Pkwy in Mesquite at 9:00 am.
- The end time is a guesstimate.
- If this becomes an official run, a trail badge will be available.
- I can be reached by phone or text at 702.591.0997 or email: k.acuff@yahoo.com.

🟡 Trail Run Details 🟡
The end time for the run IS A GUESS. Darkness will make a difference!
The run will start at the Blue Diamond Travel Center (Chevron). From Hwy 160 we'll head South through the Spring Mountains on Potosi Pass Rd. The trail goes around the western side of Potosi Mountain. We will include the Dean Rd loop on this run (Thank you, Shane!) with a fun little rocky climb in the middle of it (I would say Rated 4; stock Jeeps may scrape a little. It has a bypass if you don't want to go up it). Sights along the trail include desert vegetation, wildlife, and cliff walls. The Southeast section opens into the flat desert and we'll turn south to head toward Good Springs. This run is approximately 19 miles. We will have several short stops to enjoy the night scenes along the way!
There are several steep inclines, gulches/gorges/deep ravines. THERE WILL BE DESERT PIN-STRIPING on this run. Within the last 12 months, we have some new rocky obstacles and washout areas to maneuver. Some fun stuff!
You do not need light bars or additional lighting on your rigs for this run. Headlights are fine.- Trail Badge is available for $5 cash after the run.
