Welcome to The Design Collective - Silicon Valley! (Formerly South Bay Product and UX)
This group is about UX and Product Design.
We are largely a social group. Most often you'll catch us meeting up over coffee, co-working, or mingling with others in UX at a group mixer.
We also do career-focused and interactive meetups, portfolio reviews, office tours and more. Check out an awesome article a member wrote about us (https://firstname.lastname@example.org/south-bay-product-and-uxd-meetup-b10385223805).
Please remember — many of our events have a smaller attendee limit, so update your RSVP if you are no longer able to make it to an event so that someone else can have your spot. Please don't be a no-show. Nobody likes a no-show.
Due to Coronavirus, our speaker and we would like to postpone the event for a few weeks. We will update everyone on an exact date soon. Bear with us! (updated on 3/3/20 and pushing the date to 4/23/20 for now but will follow up on an exact date)
Join us for this hands on introductory Design Thinking workshop where we explore each phase of this iterative human-centered process. You will leave with a better understanding of how this powerful solution-based problem solving methodology can uncover new and creative solutions.
This workshop will cover:
• The Design Thinking mindset
• The role of empathy in innovation
• The importance of solving the right problem
• Successful brainstorming and rapid prototyping techniques through fun activities and collaboration
