Join us for an evening of inspiration and learning about the UX profession, hosted by our friends at LinkedIn.

LAURA KLEIN | Principal at Users Know

Laura fell in love with technology when she saw her first user research session over 20 years ago. Since then, she’s worked as an engineer, user experience designer, and product manager in Silicon Valley for companies of all sizes. She’s written two books for product managers, designers, and entrepreneurs, Build Better Products (Rosenfeld Media ’16) and UX for Lean Startups (O’Reilly Media ’13), and she’s a frequent speaker at tech conferences, including SXSW, Lean Startup Conference, and Mind the Product. She is currently Principal at Users Know, a UX design consultancy, and works as a coach and adviser to product teams and startups.

ARYEL CIANFLONE | UX Research Lead at LinkedIn

Aryel Cianflone is the founder of Mixed Methods, a UX research podcast featuring thought leaders in the space and a community with almost 10k members. Aryel also works at LinkedIn, leading a team of horizontal researchers working on a wide array of topics, including trust, design systems, and more. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and loves to get outside in her free time.

ANDY GOODMAN | ECD at frog San Francisco

Andy is the Executive Creative Director at frog San Francisco where he leads a stellar team of UX and Product Designers. Prior to frog, Andy worked for over 20 years as an interaction designer and design leader for agencies and in house. Andy loves to share his passion for design and is a frequent speaker at conferences including TED, SXSW, Interaction, and Solid. His writing on design and emerging technology has been published in numerous magazine articles and books.

JULIA ABELSKY | Product Manager at LinkedIn

She is focused on helping organization create, grow, and analyze their presence with LinkedIn pages. Prior to this role, she worked in strategy roles at Google, UPS, and Georgia Pacific.

KRISTINE YUEN | Design Manager at LinkedIn

She leads a team of designers to create the best customer experience for the Pages product. Prior to her current role, Kristine was a consultant at Deloitte Digital for 5+ years working with 12 different Fortune 500 companies. She takes a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses the fields of design, business, and technology, giving her a blend of skills for her career path. She earned a Master’s of Design in Interaction Design from California College of Arts and prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in information Technology Management from the University of Notre Dame. Outside of her daily work, Kristine enjoys mentoring and coaching aspiring UX designers and students. An avid presenter, Kristine enjoys speaking about design related topics such as networking, interviewing, job hunting, portfolios, and making strong LinkedIn profiles.
